With its built-in ergonomic shoulder pad, 10" sliding track, and additional space for accessories in front, the Zacuto Z-Finder Recoil Pro Rig for Canon C400 offers both style and functionality. One notable feature of the VCT Pro Baseplate is its extended section beyond the 15mm LWS rod adapter in front. This design allows for mounting accessories under the camera lens, creating a better balance point for your rig directly over your shoulder. The rod adapter is vertically adjustable by 1" and must be raised to accommodate accessories in the additional space. Additionally, a 1.8" riser is available for the rod adapter, specifically for RED cameras and can be ordered from Zacuto.
The V-wedge is located on the bottom of the extended section, while a 15mm LWS rod adapter can be found on the rear. The baseplate also features a 10" sliding track, providing ample space to adjust balance after each lens change. To make adjustments quick and easy, the red camera plate can be loosened using a spring-loaded lever instead of a screw. Removing the plate and camera is as simple as pressing a red button on the side of the baseplate and sliding out the plate. The rod ports are equipped with spring-loaded levers as well.
For additional attachment options, an ARRI M6 rosette is available on the front, along with three 1/4"-20 threaded holes on the side. The bottom of the baseplate offers 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 tripod mount holes, which can be used as an alternative to the V-wedge. The baseplate also includes a gel polymer shoulder pad that runs along its entire length and width. Two 6.5" 15mm rods, a 1/4"-20 screw, and a 3/8"-16 screw are provided with the camera plate.
