KMD-7 Pack Contents
The KMD-7 pack consists of two KM3s, one KM4, and four KM5s, providing a complete drum microphone solution suitable for both live performance and home studio use.
KM3 Microphone Overview
The KM3 is an end-address small diaphragm condenser designed for use as a drum overhead microphone, although it is equally well suited to many other applications such as stringed instruments and piano. Two KM3 microphones are included to provide stereo overhead coverage, and they come complete with a rubberised shockmount to help minimise handling noise.
KM4 Microphone Overview
Like the other dynamic models in the range, the KM4 uses a neodymium magnet to deliver exceptionally low distortion at high output levels. Although primarily designed for kick drum and tom applications, it is also well suited to use on bass, brass, and amplifier cabinets.
KM5 Microphones Overview
The four KM5 microphones feature a spring-loaded adjustable drum-rim mounting bracket that ensures accurate positioning for snare and tom applications. This intelligent rim-mounting design allows the microphone to operate effectively and safely while staying out of the reach of sticks and beaters. In addition, a cable tidy helps keep wiring neat, organised, and secure.
The KM5 is a dynamic microphone specifically tuned for snares and toms, offering plenty of upper-bass weight and low-mid punch. A fast transient response in the upper-mid region provides an open and detailed sound.
An integral drum rim clip allows direct mounting to snare and tom rims. The clip helps protect the microphone from stray drumsticks and includes a rubber shockmount to reduce vibration transmission directly from the rim.
