The Ultimate GP Ballhead with Lever Clamp from Acratech is a precision-machined, compact ballhead with a load capacity of 11.3 kg. It fits standard 3/8"-16 tripod mounts but is adaptable to 1/4"-20 with an appropriate bushing. This head has the ability to function as a gimbal head for use with lenses up to 400mm f/4.0, negating the need for a gimbal attachment. The Ultimate GP can be used upside-down as a levelling and panning head. Additionally - the base features engraved degree markings for shooting precise panoramic images.
The elimination of lubricants in the design helps prevent "head-creep" which can lead to accidents and ensures continued smooth rotation and freedom of movement. The Ultimate features separate controls for pan control and ball tension. The quick release clamp features a bubble level. This ballhead has a satin black anodised finish and is manufactured in the USA.
