- Zen Studio - with new FX and enhanced Control Panel The Antelope Audio Zen Studio Portable Audio Interface is a USB 2.0 interface designed for professional audio recording applications. The unit includes a built-in carrying handle and is small enough to fit within a backpack or gear bag for easy transport. A front panel LCD and rotary knob provide visual feedback and physical control over the device.
For inputs, the interface features 12 Class-A microphone pre-amplifiers with phantom power using combination XLR and 1/4" TRS connectors. Eight of the preamps can be used for either microphones or line level inputs. Four of the inputs can be used for microphones, line level, or instrument inputs. External effect units can be connected through two TRS inserts. An additional eight analogue inputs are available over DSUB-25 connector. The unit also accepts an additional 8 channels of digital audio inputs via two side mounted ADAT inputs. The interface also includes an SPDIF digital input.
For outputs the unit features two 1/4" TRS connectors for stereo monitoring, eight outputs via DSUB-connector, eight digital outputs via two side mounted ADAT digital outputs, and an SPDIF digital output. The front panel of the interface features two independently assignable headphone outputs. The unit can handle a total of 38 inputs and 32 outputs simultaneously. At 24-bit 192 kHz resolution, the unit can handle a total I/O count of 24 simultaneous channels.
For external clocking, the interface features both Word clock in and Word clock out connectors. The unit features a specially designed USB 2.0 chip to provide minimal latency while recording to a computer.
For signal processing, the interface comes with a parallel DSP engine based on a custom FPGA design that enables simultaneous routing and processing of multiple channels and effects through a desktop control application.
