Blackmagic Design Pocket Cinema Camera 4K

The Blackmagic Design Pocket Cinema Camera 4K is equipped with a 4/3" sensor that allows for high-quality image capture, supporting resolutions of up to 4096 x 2160 DCI 4K and frame rates of up to 75 fps in various codecs such as Blackmagic Raw and ProRes 422. The recent 6.6 update introduces new features, including the ability to shoot up to 80 fps in a 2.8K raw mode and 75 fps in a 4K raw mode. This update also adds functionality like support for the Pocket Battery Grip, a built-in horizon level function, USB PTP control, customisable frame guides, and the option to embed custom LUTs as metadata in Blackmagic Raw files. The Micro Four Thirds lens mount allows for compatibility with a range of lenses through separately available adapters, while the camera's dual-native ISO up to 25,600 and 13 stops of dynamic range ensure excellent image quality. Recording can be done using internal slots for CFast 2.0 and SD/UHS-II cards or via the USB Type-C output for extended recording to an external drive. The camera's 5" touchscreen LCD eliminates the need for an external monitor, and a full-sized HDMI port allows for easy connection to larger displays. Audio features include a mini-XLR input with phantom power, a 3.5mm jack, and an internal stereo mic, with additional capabilities such as Bluetooth remote control and compatibility with DaVinci Resolve Studio for post-production. The camera's carbon fibre composite construction offers a balance of durability and lightweight design, while power options include using the included Canon LP-E6 type battery or power supply.
