It blocks glare from reflective surfaces such as large glass windows and bodies of water. The ND32/PL filter cuts light hitting the camera sensor by 5 f-stops to adjust for bright daylight conditions. This reduction also lets you get creative by letting you use larger apertures or longer shutter speeds, which is why the filter is especially useful for long-exposure photography. The filter features optical glass and is multicoated on both sides to allow for optimal image quality.
