The KHCW Klassic Boom Hodges Counterweight Module from K-Tek is a foam-covered brass, 771 g bottom attachment for Klassic boompoles. It can be used to reduce booming fatigue for audio operators during video shoots and other applications.
It attaches to the bottom of any Klassic boompole before the rubber bottom element, and reduces the downward force of a microphone and shockmount at the top of the pole. Although the weight is actually slightly increased, the Klassic counterweight reduces the stress on the boom operator. Overall, the boom feels lighter.
