Description

The KMI MIDI Expander from Keith McMillen Instruments is an accessory that enables use of the SoftStep hardware controller to control MIDI hardware. The expander provides a MIDI In and a MIDI Out and shows up on the computer as SoftStep MIDI Port 2 .

Additionally, the item is needed to use the SoftStep without a computer in standalone mode. It will also work with 12 Step chromatic keyboard foot controller.

    Works really well. Provides an essential interface between the 12-step and 5-pin (DIN) equiped hardware devices, such as synth modules and keyboards. Nice and small, so it doesn't take up too much room on a pedalboard. This came with a USB based power supply and cable and another, long USB cable to connect to the 12-step.
