With the Magewell XI104XUSB USB 3.0 Video Capture Box you can capture both HD and SD video simultaneously. The front panel of the box has a DVI port and a DB9 port. The DVI port also supports HDMI and Component input using the included breakout cable. Using the second breakout cable, the DB9 port breaks out into four composite video connections and two stereo RCA audio connections. On the rear panel is a single USB 3.0 port. The box is bus-powered via the USB connection and needs no external power supply. If you don't have a USB 3.0 port available, the XI104XUSB is backward compatible with USB 2.0, though performance will be reduced.
Features
USB 3.0 Interface
The XI104XUSB adopts a USB 3.0 interface for high-speed transmission. It can simultaneously capture one HD and four composite video signals with 2 channels of unbalanced stereo audio. It gets bus power directly from the PC. Compared to the PCI-Express x1 GEN 1.1 interface, the Intel USB 3.0 chip enables faster data transmission at 1080p60. XI100XUSB-PRO is backward compatible with USB 2.0, though with reduced performance.
Automatic Signal Detection
Automatically determines the resolution of incoming VGA video signals, which occasionally use uncommon aspect ratios. Once the resolution is detected, the card will automatically adjust the signal's parameters, including timing and phase. The VGA timing detection supports the following standards: GTF/CEA/DMT/IBM PC/Apple/VESA. For input signals which do not meet specific timing standards, the card will improve and adjust via its image analysis algorithm.
Video Processing
The XI104AE can perform functions like random image scale, image clip, colour space switch, Gamma modification, and DMA transmission to satisfy your individual requirements. It can also automatically remove black edges around the image, with manual settings for for effective image area; automatically detect the video source; deinterlace; and remove image aliasing.
