First cord I received was defective. I couldn't plug my microphone into the microphone jack because there was a small obstruction inside the jack. I was able to plug my microphone into the second cord I received which rubbermonkey graciously sent me, but the microphone was not detected by my Mac or Android devices. The headphone side worked.
