The WP-DC54's body is constructed from a durable plastic polymer, which is clear to allow you to monitor the O-ring seal and maintain a full view of the camera. A built-in flat port fits and protects the camera's lens. Additionally, the housing features a diffuser that softens the light of the camera's built-in flash, in order to minimise backscatter, glare, and hard shadows. The flash can be used to trigger an optional external strobe wirelessly or with an optional fibre-optic cable attached to the included removable adapter.

A cold shoe mount enables the connection of accessories, such as optional lighting arms or external flash units in separate housings. A neck strap, wrist strap, and tube of silicone grease are included.
