Young Photographers Competition – Enter Now!

Rubber Monkey is proud to partner with Capital E to support the Nōku te Ao Young Photographers Competition – an incredible opportunity for budding photographers aged 8–18 from across the Greater Wellington region to showcase their talent.

The Theme: Ako Kori Hanga – Learn, Play, Create
Your challenge is to capture one, two, or all three of these ideas in a single image. Think about how learning, movement, and creativity can come to life through your lens, and show us your unique perspective.

Each Category Winner will receive a prize pack worth over $1,600, including:
• A Canon EOS R50 Mirrorless Camera + 18–45mm Lens (RRP $1,469)
• A Canon backpack
• A Lexar 64GB SD card
• A $100 Rubber Monkey gift card
• A Wellington Museum retail experience
• Artist fees for the use of your photo

Winners will also meet with the Wheako Pōneke Experience Wellington Retail and Design team to transform their winning photo into a retail product sold in the Wellington Museum shop – a chance to learn how creativity can become a career!

Who Can Enter?
• Photographers aged 8–18
• Living in the Greater Wellington region (Central Wellington, Porirua, Kāpiti Coast, Wairarapa, Lower Hutt, Upper Hutt)
• Must be a New Zealand citizen or permanent resident

Categories -
Entries will be judged in three age groups:
• 8–10 years
• 11–13 years
• 14–18 years
