SHAPE Compact Revolt Shoulder Baseplate Kit with Follow Focus, Matte Box & Handgrips (Black) includes the BP20 Baseplate, HAND15 Handgrips in black, SHAPE's Single-Rod Follow Focus Kit, and the two-Stage 4 x 5.6" Matte Box. These four items together form a complete tripod or handheld camera support package that easily goes from shoulder to VCT-style quick release plate without needing adjustment.
The anodised aluminium baseplate is precision CNC-machined and provides approximately 9cm of forward-and-back camera balance adjustment. Built-in ARRI-compatible rosettes enable the included arms to securely mount on the baseplate and provide support and stability to your camerawork. The handgrip arms provide two points of articulation and support a rubber handgrip for comfortable shooting. Each arm also features two 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 threaded accessory mounting holes with anti-twist divots and SHAPE's quick-lock push buttons for making adjustments on the fly without having to loosen or tighten locking levers.
The included follow focus unit clamps onto a single 15mm support rod and includes five different drive gears, four removable magnetic marking disks, a focus whip, and a speed crank. The two-stage matte box supports filters up to 4 x 45.6" and features two rotating filter stages, mounts on 15mm rods, and fits lenses up to 114mm in diameter.
The black SHAPE Compact Quick Handle ARRI Rosette consists of a left- and right-hand articulating arm with rubber handgrip. Each arm features a rosette with an M6 metric screw for attaching the handle to cameras and baseplates with ARRI rosettes. Each handle features two points of articulation actuated with SHAPE's patented quick-lock buttons.
The arms attach via the rosettes allowing you to select the attachment angle. Each arm also has two each 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 threaded mounting holes with anti-twist indents for attaching accessories. The quick-lock buttons are located at the articulation points, one towards your baseplate and the other controlling the angle of the rubber handgrip.
The SHAPE Compact Revolt Shoulder Baseplate is a lightweight baseplate suitable for use by neophytes and professionals alike. Made from CNC-machined aluminium, the baseplate is made to withstand the rigours of the production day. The shoulder pad allows it to sit comfortably on your shoulder. The top of the baseplate features two rubber strips to protect your camera. It incorporates two ARRI-compatible rosettes for attaching handle accessories. The top of the baseplate features a 3.5"-long slot that enables adjusting your camera's position for balance adjustments.
Front and rear 15mm LWS rod clamps enable you to mount the included 8 and 4" pairs of rods to support you lens accessories in front, and power/monitoring accessories in the rear. An included 3mm Allen Key allows you to adjust the rod clamps, and the rear rod clamp is removable and attaches to the Revolt Shoulder Baseplate by two M4 screws. On the bottom of the baseplate is a V-lock plate that is compatible with most VCT baseplates. The V-lock plate has both a 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 threaded mounting hole.
The 2-Stage 4 x 5.6" Matte Box from **SHAPE can be used as a clip-on matte box or can be mounted on industry-standard 15mm rod system. It is designed for light control, insertion, and adjustment of filters. It features a two-stage rotating 4 x 5.6" filter holder. The matte box accepts lenses with a front diameter up to 114mm. It comes with six step-down rings that allow you to fit lenses with an outer diameter of 52, 58, 62, 67, 72, 77, and 82mm as well.
Use the compact SHAPE Follow Focus Kit with Single 15mm Rod Clamp with your camera setup to make focus pulling easy. The modular design allows you to add and remove any of the components without screws or tools, and its small profile allows the addition of a matte box or accessories around your lens.
At the core of the kit is a rubber, anti-slip follow focus wheel attached to a single aluminium 15mm rod clamp. The clamp rotates to adjust to most lens sizes, and it's tightened by a locking lever. The clamp's rotation also allows the focus wheel to easily swing out of the way when changing lenses.
Five drive gears are included to fit a variety of lens sizes: 0.5 MOD/78T, 0.6 MOD/64T, 0.8 MOD/38T, 0.8 MOD/43T, and 0.8 MOD/78T. The gears can be flipped from front to back to facilitate different lens configurations. A 49mm rubber friction wheel is also included for the 0.5 MOD/78T gear which is most commonly used with DSLR lenses.
For alternate fine-focus configurations, use the included speed crank or 11" whip, both of which attach to the centre point of the knob. Four magnetic marking disks are included to attach to the focus wheel.
