Made of injection-moulded ultra-high-strength polypropylene copolymer resin, this SKB 3I-2011-10BE I-Series Waterproof Utility Case (Empty) is made to withstand the most extreme and demanding shipping, handling, and working conditions on the planet. The case is offered here with an empty interior to allow for customisation and full use of the interior space. Cubed foam, layered foam, and padded dividers are available separately. To accommodate a wide assortment of gear, this case has interior dimensions of 20 x 11.5 x 10.5" (50.8 x 29.2 x 26.8cm).
Design features include gasket sealing to an IP67-rating that makes the case dust and waterproof, a moulded-in hinge for added protection, dual stainless steel reinforced padlock holes, and a trigger release latch system. It is further resistant to a variety of hazards that you may encounter such as impacts, ultraviolet (UV) radiation, solvents, corrosion, and even fungi. A pressure relief valve comes into play especially during air transport by regulating the internal pressure, keeping your gear and the case from getting crushed and allowing you to open the case without having to break a tough pressurised seal that may develop. Built-in skate-style casters allow you to wheel the case behind you by using either the snap-down grip handle or the telescoping pull handle.
