The Samson C01 is a large diaphragm condenser microphone well-suited to project studio recording. It features high SPL handling like a dynamic mic, while retaining the clarity of a condenser mic. The C01's 19mm diaphragm achieves high sensitivity with a flat frequency response. Its hyper-cardioid polar pattern maximises off-axis signal rejection, focusing on sound directly in front of the microphone. The C01 is built rugged with an all-metal housing and grille, while the output stage features a gold-plated XLR connection. The C01 requires Phantom power.
