SmallRig VB50 mini V Mount Battery 3579 is about 70% of the size of a normal V-mount battery, given its highly integrated design which takes up less space, making it lighter and more portable!

The highly integrated (fast charging protocol chip + MCU + voltage boost control) BMS chip supports a wide range of mainstream fast charging protocols (PD / QC / SCP / PPS / APPLE-2.4A etc.), bi-directional 45W (Max) USB-C PD fast charging, as well as adaptive voltage boost/ adaptive current regulation etc.

In addition, its customized intelligent BMS system ensures faster and safer charging by providing multiple protections against over-current / short-circuit / over-temperature / over-voltage, etc. Such interfaces as USB-A / USB-C / D-tap / DC 8V / DC 12V / V Mount are also included for efficient charging / powering of camera / camcorder / monitor / wireless video transmitter / video light / mobile phone / laptop etc., without using a V-mount plate to convert.

The BMS chip has a 16bit ADC / power meter algorithm, together with an MCU and an OLED digital display for you to keep track of the battery's status at all times. Fantastic battery and a really great option for travel - I used this on a month-long trip to Europe for topping up our phones, my Steam Deck and camera, along with any other accessories that needed it. Decided to buy this over the FXLion option due to the DC barrel jacks. The most impressive use for this so far has been allowing me to extend my playtime on my Steam Deck, which can draw anywhere up to 40W or so when charging and playing at the same time. I found it gave me over 2 hrs of extra time on the device - it got quite hot while doing so though, so a larger battery may help spread the load across the cell if you are needing this kind of peak output. Fast charging with a 60W Samsung charger has been effective, and I've found that it doesn't get unreasonably hot while doing so. I have found the USB-A port to be a little sensitive to power draw, especially when used with other devices at the same time. Additionally, the lack of a "time to empty" readout is a little disappointing considering the nice screen that is present. Finally, I would recommend keeping the protective plastic on the screen, or installing a custom cut plastic screen protector (as I did) to protect from scratches. All things considered, this is a great product with very few flaws. I hope it continues to prove itself in this way for years to come.
