The Stardom SohoTANK ST2 1TB External HDD
2-bay, 2x 500GB, Hard Drive Enclosure (eSATA/USB2.0/RAID/Hotswappable)
The SohoTANK ST2 is an all purpose storage system enclosure for wide range of usages from data, MP3, MPEG archiving to creative professional applications such as audio, video and photography productions.
Features:
Stylish and rugged
The ST2 has a sleek exterior design that’ll never go out of style when placed next to your Mac. It’s also built tough with three millimeter thickness aluminum to shield the enclosed drives durably and to dissipate the heat created by the drives faster for the drives to work comfortably.
Optional RAID 0 or Independent storage mode
With two optional storage modes, a user can choose between RAID 0 or the Independent mode. In RAID 0 mode, the enclosed two drives will be striped or combined into one large volume for storage to enhance the data transfer speed performance. Under the Independent mode, the enclosed drives are seen as two separate volumes instead of one single volume.
Supports up to 2 Terabyte drives
ST2 supports any capacity of SATA hard drives up to 2 Terabytes. In RAID 0 mode, the ST2 will support a total of 4TB in volume for storage.
Removable tray design
If drive replacement becomes necessary, the ST2 is modular designed for effortless removal and installation of drives. It’s also protected by a locking mechanism to secure the drives into place.
