The Cold Shoe Mount from Vello is a standard cold shoe mount with a 1/4" thread on the bottom. It can be used for mounting shoe mount accessories to a bracket, tripod, light stand, or any accessory that features a 1/4"-20 screw. Unlike a hot shoe, the cold shoe has no electronic connection to a camera - it's used simply to hold an accessory.
