Low-impedance signals preserve your tone's critical high-end dynamics over long cable runs.
Some pedals have built-in buffers; however, those can be of inferior quality and can impart unwanted changes to your tone. The BonaFide is completely analogue and has a >112dB signal-to-noise ratio and a 0.001% THD (Total Harmonic Distortion) rating for a low noise floor. Another problem with most buffers is if the power goes, so does your signal. An intelligent bypass relay within the BonaFide will automatically disengage the buffer from the circuit, providing true-bypass operation in case of a power loss.
