The Tiffen 52mm 80A Colour Conversion Filter helps to increase the colour temperature from 3200 to 5500K, allowing the use of daylight-balanced film in tungsten-lit conditions. The cooling effect of this filter requires a 2-stop increase in exposure for normal results.
This filter is made using ColorCore technology, a process that involves laminating the filter substrate between 2 pieces of optical glass, grinding flat to a tolerance of 1/10,000th of an inch, and then mounting to precision metal rings.
Key Features
- Colour conversion filter increases colour temperature and provides a cooling effect.
- Converts 3200 to 5500K for using daylight-balanced film in tungsten-lit conditions.
- Filter factor of 4 requires a 2-stop increase in exposure.
