This 8-string set of EXL120-8 Super Light XL Nickel Wound from D'Addario combines the company's popular EXL120-7 set and adds a wound .065 (tuned to F#) to create a super-light gauge set optimised for 8-string electric guitars. It delivers powerful low end for heavy chording and flexible plain steel strings for bending.
The strings are manufactured from nickel-plated steel wound over a hexagonally shaped, high-carbon steel core. They produce a long-lasting, distinctive bright tone and help to improve intonation.
